Ride Type: Group - Re-group.
Weather Cancels?
We ride in light rain because, geez, it's the Pacific Northwest!
Description:
*SPECIAL* - Did you try to buy a donut on National Donut Day? They were SOLD OUT. Everywhere. We went last week and are riding again because there can never be enough ... NATIONAL DONUT DAYS!
We're riding to the best donut shop in the area, Annie's on Sandy in Portland. They use potatoes in their dough. You know the tenderness of potato breads. Yuuuuuummmm. This is not a swanky coffee joint. Good cheap eats.
What do I need to bring?
Bring your bike in good working order and your helmet. Your wallet. Your appetite. Your backpack for hauling back the goods to friends and family. Maybe some Tums.
Route: Annie's Donut Route with Scenic Return to Burn Extra Calories
Donut History: World War I volunteers wanted to support troops. The Salvation Army dispatched over 250 women to France, who found that battle-tested helmets were perfect for frying up to seven doughnuts at a time.
Expectations:
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing.
Riders are expected to have read the club's Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with club Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions or concerns to the ride leader or our club Road Captain.
Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), Road IDs, cell phones, tool kit, mirrors, and pump are recommended. Check your bike and gear before you come to make sure it's in good working order. Seriously.
You can see our route online at the Ride With GPS link above. Please communicate with your leader if you decide to go off route.
Remember - we want to be awesome representatives of the cycling community in Clark County and spread a love and respect for our great sport by obeying all traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner. Ride safely and have fun!
