About this event
The "Slow and Social" series kicks off June 9th with a fun, 27-mile ride that has a few hills, but is mostly flat.
It begins at Hockinson Market, parking across the street in the old middle school parking lot. We travel north toward Battle Ground Winery, then on around Battle Ground Lake State Park.
Jog through Battle Ground (pit stop there) and catch the 503 multi-use path south to the infamous "hole in the fence". More zigzags to ride China Ditch northward back to Hockinson.
This is a re-group ride that will stop for pictures of Mount Hood and enjoy the scenery of Brush Prairie, while learning about the new brew pubs in and around Battle Ground. Ride pace is 12-16 mph in the flats. Faster riders will be given queue sheets to go on their own.
The Hockinson Market sells ice cream, great pizza AND has a new tap room launched in the former 1940's vintage area post office. A rotating tap of Washington beer and cider.
