Road Cycling 101 RACC TRAINING Ride! 11Am (VAN)

Distance: 10 miles
Terrain: Moderate
Pace:  8-12mph
Ride Style:  Group, no rider ever left behind!

Our beginner bike ride series, Road Cycling 101, is "going on the road" with this extra ride from The Bike Shop, a non-profit bike shop and all-around groovy place in downtown Vancouver.

We'll ride from the shop and ride parts of the official 20-mile RACC (Ride Around Clark County) route so that you will know that you can ride RACC
We'll ride 10 miles today.  13 miles in May. You will be ready for 20 on July 27!

NOTE: Our route -TODAY only- is not suitable for brand new riders. We will ride together on safe streets, but a there will be bit more traffic than our usual routes. There are two inclines and the distance is longer than our Monday night rides.   Make sure your bike is in good working order and that you feel ready to try these challenges.  This is a no-drop ride, but you must have a reasonable degree of experience and confidence to be safe on this route.

We'll get to see the bike shop and meet the people there.  You'll find expertise and some treasures for the bargain-hunter.  Plus, the Cyclist's Closet of FREEBIES is there for you to take whatever you need. FREE.

After the ride there are lots of fun places to grab a bite if we want, so you might want to bring a lock and $.
