CANCELLED - I believe the windstorm will have created unsafe conditions by blowing wet fir needles onto the steep, curvy descent.  I am unwilling to ride it.

The RACC century and metric century routes are changing for 2019 because of construction planned on the normal route.  The Daybreak park rest area will not be used for 2019.  I am going to ride a route to showcase a proposed change to the 100 mile RACC.  All are welcome though this is oriented to the RACC committee.  We will ride the old, eliminated section in reverse and then ride the new, proposed section in the order it would be ridden for RACC.

Here is the planned route:
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29126799

This will be a moderately paced re-group ride where we will regroup at the top of all steeper climbs and at other times.  I will not be climbing at a fast pace.  After we reach the new section there may be stops to discuss issues with the route and what needs to be done to mark and sign the route for the riders.

Showers are predicted for Sunday.  If it is too rainy I plan to shorten the ride to go directly to the new section.  There is a steep, curvy descent which will need to be ridden carefully whether or not it is wet.

Start location is a the Ridgefield Park and Ride.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read theSafe Riding Policyand be familiar with theRide Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader orRoad Captain. Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended. Please make sure to print a ride cue sheet, if you need one. Make sure your bike is in good working order. Riders should be able to maintain the stated pace. Please communicate with the leader if you decide to go off route or not return to the start.
