Worst Day Of The Year Ride
About this event
WORST DAY OF THE YEAR RIDE
The date has changed to FEBRUARY 24TH from February 10th due to weather.
HISTORY:
February 8 was both the coldest and wettest date in Oregon history (-54 degrees, Ukiah, 1933) and (26" of rain in 4 days, Coastal range, 1996) We thought that sounded like the perfect day for a ride. The first Worst Day was in 2001 and boasted over 200 brave souls. Over 3,000 showed up for the 10th anniversary. In 2006 the Challenge Course was added to accommodate the growing "die-hard" audience. Costumes were introduced by the public, first rewarded in 2008. The weather has been clear 13 times, rained twice, and cancelled once due to a crippling winter storm dubbed "Snowpocalypse".
Two Routes Offered:
16 Mile Urban Course
42 Mile Challenge Course
Cost: $28-55
The ride is capped at 2,000 and is expected to sell out.
