Road Cycling 201

Feel comfortable on your bike? Want to gain confidence riding city streets, riding with a group, clipping in, ascending and descending, have fun and meet new people? Come Ride With Us! This is the next step after Road Cycling 101.

We start with easy routes and progress each week in either distance and/or elevation. We will start with short rides, approximately 10 - 12 miles in distance and increase the distance as the daylight increases.  We will start riding at approximately 12 mph and increase to 14 mph through the series.

Many rides will be dependent upon the wants and needs of the group - eg want to know how to cross 205, want to know new ways out of Burnt Bridge Creek trail, what are some east county rides etc.

Our goal is to ensure you gain the confidence and comfort to ride on your own or with a group.   No rider ever left behind.

The Road Cycling 201 series is free to all riders. You do not have to be a member of Vancouver Bicycle Club. All you need is a bike in good working order and a helmet. Helmets are required for all riders for all Vancouver Bicycle Club rides.

This is a recurring series of rides each Monday through May, 18. Please arrive to be ready to ride at 5:30 pm. We will do a group intro, go over the plan for the evening and head out by 5:45 pm.

OUR FIRST MEETING WILL BE A JOINT RIDE WITH ROAD CYCLING 101. THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO GET AN UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS BEING OFFERED AND MAY HELP DETERMINE WHERE YOU FEEL MOST COMFORTABLE. COME RIDE WITH US!

NOTE:  Please check the ride description for this series every week; we will vary the ride starts!
