What do I need to bring?
Bring your bike in good working order (Air up YOUR TIRES!) and your helmet. You might also consider bringing a bottle of water and some way to carry it as you ride and a small snack. If you have front / rear lights for your bike, great. We recommend them for safety, but lights aren’t a deal-breaker. Helmets ARE required for all VBC rides.
Is there a fee? Is membership in the club required?
No. All VBC rides are free with the exception of the Ride Around Clark County. You do not have to be a club member and there is no requirement that you plan to join the club.
Where do we ride?
Ride Schedule:
Between 4:45 PM and 5:00 PM we'll introduce ourselves and review bike safety and the rules of the road. Wheels roll at 5:00PM.
Expectations:
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing.
Riders are expected to have read the club's Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with club Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions or concerns to the ride leader or our club Road Captain.
Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), Road IDs, cell phones, tool kit including a tube that fits your tire, mirrors, and pump are recommended. Check your bike and gear before you come to make sure it's in good working order. Seriously.
