Ride Type: NO rider left behind.
Weather Cancels?
Ride cancelled for lightning, snow, ice. We ride in light rain because, geez, it's the Pacific Northwest!
Description:
Come join us for a casual group ride from the shop as we celebrate 10 years since Camas Bike and Sport opened the door back on 2009. Who should come? All riders are welcome, including kids, but remember they will be riding on the road with traffic, so 12 and over for this one! What type of ride is it? This will be a social no drop pace and any type bike will be okay. Wider tires are easier on the gravel, but skinny ones work, too. What's the route? We will take a route we feel is the safest to commute from Downtown Camas to Downtown Washougal and back with a bonus section on the gravel Dike trail to Cottonwood Beach for a treat break. See the route HERE.
FAQs:
What do I need to bring?
Bring your bike in good working order and your helmet. You might also consider bringing a bottle of water and some way to carry it as you ride and a small snack. If you have front / rear lights for your bike, great. We recommend them for safety, but lights aren’t a deal-breaker. Helmets ARE required for all VBC rides.
Is there a fee? Is membership in the club required?
No. All VBC rides are free with the exception of the Ride Around Clark County. You do not have to be a club member and there is no requirement that you plan to join the club.
Ride Schedule:
Wheels roll at 6:30PM.
Expectations:
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing.
Riders are expected to have read the club's Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with club Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions or concerns to the ride leader or our club Road Captain.
Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), Road IDs, cell phones, tool kit, mirrors, and pump are recommended. Check your bike and gear before you come to make sure it's in good working order. Seriously.
You can see our route online at the Ride Spot link above. Please communicate with your leader if you decide to go off route.
Remember - we want to be awesome representatives of the cycling community in Clark County and spread a love and respect for our great sport by obeying all traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner. Ride safely and have fun!
