Are super infrastructure, green paint, and nifty paths calling your name? Got it! This IS a city ride, so there will be big metal friends everywhere. But - there's a lot of good bikey stuff, too. neighborhoods and greenways bike lanes from Heaven on Rosa Parks Going Street whoop-de-doo overpass Broadway Bridge Ovation Coffee (and restrooms) at The Fields Park (great views of the Fremont Bridge) about .5 miles of regular protected bike lanes on Naito and then a mile of BETTER NAITO, the summertime cycle track car-free Tilikum Crossing (restrooms and photo op) Eastbank Esplanade Williams Highway! Goose Poop Westbound Strava segment Delta Park (restrooms) Group choice up the hill: Blandford (shady) or McLoughlin We meet and ride from River Maiden on Mill Plain. We ride McLoughlin downtown which is due to get a protected cycle track this summer. We cruise past the MAX station which makes commuting by bike or on foot easy peasy. Then we enjoy green paint and great infrastructure. WHY IS THIS A GUINEA PIG RIDE? Because I haven't ridden every last bit of this route in this order. So bring your spirit of adventure --and a sense of humor never hurts!
