We'll ride to meet a PdX group and together we'll tour interesting aka weird architecture in NoPo. From the 410 building at the fort, we ride the I-5 Bridge to Delta Park and Goose Poop Alley. At Cafe Eleven we meet up with another group called Biking About Architecture. They seem to like seeing weird places in Portland, too! We'll ride with them for several miles or 1.5 hours - whichever comes first. Then it's back to Vancouver for us. The ride leader describes it as: We'll see it all on this easy, slow, laid-back tour (~4 miles) of the unusual in this quirky neighborhood chock full of eclectic edifices, from a stone mansion to a minareted temple to a Swedish GastHaus and LEED & co-op housing. More fun than educational; more architectural than super-bikey. Note: This is almost certainly a VERY casual city exploration ride. If we have plenty of time, the $5 Margherita pizza (feeds 2-3) and $4 beer at Life of Pie is very close to the end of the "tour". They have plenty of outdoor seating. ROUTE The blue section is "the tour". Some of the homes we'll see.
