This is a special Memorial Day Edition of the "Early Morning Ride".
What's the same:
1. Starting Location (Safeway at 63rd and Andresen)
2. A great route (see below)
3. Donut option at the end (The Donut Nook)

What's different: On Memorial Day, we also take a moment to ride by the military cemetery near Clark College.

We start bright and early: 8am! There's no better way to start a Monday than on your bike.

This ride is also known as the Donut Ride! That's right...towards the end of the ride, we have an optional stop at one of Vancouver's finest: The Donut Nook.

There is also the option of joining the 10am Frenchman's Bar Ride if you'd like to ride further!

Please see the route and cue sheet below.

East Route & Cue Sheet

Head to east Vancouver via relatively flat roads. At the edge of Harmony Sports complex in east Vancouver, the route turns south before eventually heading west. The route loops back around north by Clark College before tackling the hill at St. Johns Road. After that, you’re in the home stretch to the start of the route at Safeway.

Notes:

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policyand be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain. Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended. Please make sure to print a ride cue sheet, if you need one. Make sure your bike is in good working order. Riders should be able to maintain the stated pace. Please communicate with the leader if you decide to go off route or not return to the start.

Remember - we want to be awesome representatives for cycling and spread a love for our great sport locally by obeying all traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner.Ride safely and have fun!
