Explore Oregon City and Gladstone: A Scenic Bike Adventure!

Join us for an invigorating bike ride to Oregon City and Gladstone, Oregon! This route promises a great workout, stunning scenery, and the chance to discover new bike paths. Get ready to explore a diverse landscape with:

  • 19 parks, primarily nestled along the picturesque Willamette and Clackamas Rivers.
  • 16 designated bike and pedestrian paths, offering smooth and enjoyable riding.
  • Low-traffic, low-speed roads, ensuring a safer and more relaxed experience.
  • The charming Garthwick neighborhood in Sellwood, known for its beautiful surroundings.
  • Plenty of "Pointless Ups and Downs" (PUDs) to add a fun challenge!
  • Numerous restrooms located along the route.
Our loop ride will wind through Portland, Sellwood, Milwaukie, Oak Grove, Oregon City, and Gladstone. You'll experience minimal repeated streets or paths as we journey to Oregon City, the original capital of the Oregon Territory, and Gladstone, home to the locally world-famous "Pow Wow Tree."

While the route is somewhat complex, we'll generally stay together to avoid dead-ends and unnecessary PUDs. However, faster riders are welcome to push ahead, especially if they upload the route from Ride with GPS. Rest assured, no one will be dropped! We'll take breaks as needed, and it would be a great help if someone volunteers to sweep.

The route will go through parts of Portland, Sellwood, Milwaukie, Oak Grove, Oregon City and Gladstone. There will be relatively few repeat streets/paths on this loop ride to the original capital of the Oregon Territory (Oregon City) and home of the locally world-famous "Pow Wow Tree" (Gladstone).

Don't hesitate to call the ride leader at 503.334.6356 if you have any questions. In the event of inclement weather a go/no-go decision will be made and posted no later than 8:00 AM on ride day.
