On the 5th and in another Forum message, member Mark McGilner mentioned that Bike Tires Direct (BTD) would be closing their Portland warehouse. I'm the VBC contact for our sponsorship program with BTD and so I reached out to them for some additional information.
They advise, "... the current warehouse will be closing and no longer fulfilling orders. However, the intent is to keep the showroom open until we can find a new location in PDX that is better suited as a showroom-only facility."
While no details are locked in, their current thinking is that the new location will operate more like a traditional retail store, with limited availability for key skus/items, and free overnight shipping to the store for customer pickup of everything else on their website.
All this is subject to change as their plans unfold. I'll try to keep everyone apprised.
