The short answer to your question to Mary is yes.
My understanding in that a few very dedicated members would, throughout the year would collect items from businesses and offer them as "raffle prizes" at our annual picnic. Apparently that did not occur this year.
Confronted with this reality, I sent out a request to vbc buddies, inviting them to donate any extra cycling related gear or swag that we can present as Raffle Prizes.
One way to let us know you have an item is via SignUpGenius. There is a selection entitled, Awards & Prizes.
