Quick note: I'm hosting a new weekly Monday after-work ride starting in East Vancouver. The plan is for this to be an ongoing recurring weekly ride. I travel a fair bit for work though so there will be occasional off weeks unless someone wants to step up as an alternate ride leader.
This is a shorter (15.6 mi, 641 ft, ~70-80 minutes), not-super-fast (11-13 mph on flats) ride that leaves at 5:45pm from the Fisher's Landing Transit Center, South Lot, returning at about 7pm. This explorer-style route winds west through neighborhoods along the Columbia River and then returns east on the Old Evergreen Highway. I plan to host some version of this ride year-round, rain or shine. How the route and timing will evolve as we head into the darker months remains to be determined.
One caveat: I'm capping registration at 6 riders (me + five others) to keep the group relatively small and manageable. Sign-ups are first-come, first-served via registration on the VBC website calendar.
