Fellow VBC riders,
The MADE handmade bike show is back at Zidell Yards in Portland the weekend of August 21-23, and it's worth the short trip across the river. Over 200 framebuilders
and brands from around the world bring their work, and the builders themselves are usually right there, happy to talk about what they do.
If you've never been, it's less a trade show and more a gallery of what's possible when someone builds a bike by hand: steel, titanium, wild geometry, beautiful
paint. You don't need to be in the market for a custom frame to enjoy it. But fair warning: You may come back with a dangerous
new wish list.
Hours are 9-5 Friday and Saturday, 9-4 Sunday. Tickets are $30 for a day or $45 for the whole weekend. Parking is extra. The venue sits right on the waterfront
bike path, so riding there is easy. Details at
made.bike.
See you there,
Paul
