I hope your summers are lovely and that you are enjoying lots of riding!
I'm writing to recruit a handful of members to join me at a City of Vancouver Transportation and Mobility Commission (TMC) meeting next
Tuesday, Aug 4, 2026 at 5-7pm at City Hall, Aspen Room, 415 W. 6th Street, Vancouver, WA. At this meeting, Judith Perez Keniston, Principal Planner at the Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council (RTC) will be presenting RTC's Regional Active Transportation Plan to the TMC in a workshop setting. I'd like to enlist a half dozen or so of us to make brief, in-person comments to show the TMC that cyclists enthusiastically support improvements to the active transportation network in the region. In the period from 2014-2024, RTC awarded over $143 million in grants for local projects, which makes the partnership between RTC and the City of Vancouver a particularly compelling one for us to show up and support.
