Buddies -

Recently Bike Clark County (BCC) received a huge new grant that will allow them to dramatically expand their youth cycling programs to many more schools in Clark County. This is a fantastic opportunity for BCC and we're really excited to see the expansion of these very successful programs!

Unfortunately, that expansion comes at a cost: because BCC will need to store and maintain a much larger fleet of youth bikes to support their programs, they're asking us to move all of our stuff out of their location at 1604 Main Street in Vancouver.

We currently store everything needed for the Ride Around Clark County at BCC: ice chests, water coolers, coffee carafes, folding tables, pop-up canopies, road signs, and dozens upon dozens of plastic totes filled with other supplies. Moving this stuff to a new location is going to be a big effort and we need your help to do it!

We're scheduling moving for Saturday, June 20th from 9am to 2pm. We've rented a 20' U-haul truck to make things go faster! Lunch will be provided!

There will be a follow-up work day on Saturday, June 27th if necessary.

If you can help this weekend, there will be an event on the calendar where you can sign-up and get all the details about the move (assuming the website starts working at some point).

If you can bring any of the following supplies, that would be very helpful!

• A water bottle and water for yourself!
• Sunscreen for yourself
• A cordless impact driver and charged batteries to help disassemble and reassemble our shelving
• A cordless Sawzall with a wood+metal blade, in case there are screws we can't remove
• Deck screws, in case we need extras when reassembling shelving
• Painters tape and Sharpies, so we can label anything that needs to be labeled
• Tie-down straps

The VBC Board and I appreciate your help with this critical move!

Difficult Roads often lead to beautiful destinations

Buddies -

It looks like the website is back up and running. It's still a bit slow for me, but much better than it has been for the last few days.

There's no guarantee that the website will continue to work, so now is the time to register to help with this weekend's move! You can find the move event here:

If you can't register via the website for some reason, feel free to email me directly so I know you're coming. Knowing how many volunteers we have will help with lunch planning and other logistics!

Once again, the Board and I really appreciate your help with the move!
