Hi VBCers,
I'm writing to request your attendance at an upcoming Clark County Council meeting to support the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) on
Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The exact time is still TBD but will be
sometime between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. at 1300 Franklin Street, Vancouver, WA 98666. In-person attendance is ideal, but call-in options are available for those who absolutely cannot attend.
At this meeting, BPAC will present to the Clark County Council regarding the need to improve active transportation infrastructure in the county. BPAC has specifically requested VBC's support and participation. They will mention VBC's history and some numbers reflecting our group ridership in their presentation to the Council.
In collaboration with other local bicycle-related organizations, our goal is to show up in numbers, gain the attention of county leaders, and help secure funding and proactive effort to fix the problems with our bicycle network. Ideally, we, as VBC, should make a strong showing at the meeting to impress upon the council the need for bicycle infrastructure improvement and the community's support for achieving it.
