About the abnormal ride series - I have been told that I am an abnormal rider. I can live with that, and this series will celebrate that. This series will be rides that are atypical of our normal club rides.  The rides may be very scenic and/or long and/or hilly and/or out of the area.  Or they may just be silly fun.  You be the judge.

It is a thing to create art on your Strava map, based on the route that you ride. Search “Strava Art” on Google and the click the images tab. Recently I did a ride and Jay Small commented that it looked like the Easter bunny. And it does. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19660852. And what better day could there be to make Easter bunny art than on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017. Come and make art.

NON-GROUP RIDE! – This is the last weekend of tax season for me. While I plan to take some time to ride, I cannot commit to extra time for problems, slower riders, etc. You should be self-sufficient on ride, able to change flats, and able to follow the map and cue sheet. If not, organize a group to ride the ride together. I will be riding at my own pace. I will enjoy it, if there is a group that goes at that pace. But basically, everyone will be on their own for the ride.

Notes:

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain. Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended. Please make sure to print a ride cue sheet, if you need one. Make sure your bike is in good working order. Riders should be able to maintain the stated pace. Please communicate with the leader if you decide to go off route or not return to the start. Remember - we want to be awesome representatives for cycling and spread a love for our great sport locally by obeying all traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner. Ride safely and have fun!
