Details:
There's a new donut shop in Hazel Dell! Mr. Maple Donuts. Tested and approved by FDE.* We're on a DONUT MISSION. Start: Bike Clark County We cruise up the potholes of Columbia to freshen our memory of WHY WE'RE ALL GOING TO THE COMPLETE STREETS RIDE ON MONDAY, 3/25, @ 5:01 (on the calendar). Then it's wheeeeee! down Bernie to Fruit Valley. We head east to Hazel Dell Avenue, paralleling Burnt Bridge Creek Trail on the ridge to the north riding Sluman and Overlook. The scenic route. There's a short stretch of Hwy 99 to Mr M, but the bike lanes there are pretty good. We're chomping donuts by mile 7. Tough duty, huh? Actually while the route is nice and short, there are some hills. Better to sharpen the appetite! Click HERE for the route. *Fried Dough Expert Credits I'd like to thank the many people who made this ride happen, starting with fellow FDE, Dennis, who first alerted me to Mr. Maple's coming to the Couv. Also many thanks to Sally and Steve for leading their ride which inspired this one.
