Let's try to remember how to pedal by exploring PDX a bit together.

Do you know the park in Portland named after the person who said, "Damn the torpedoes!  Full speed ahead!"  We'll go there.

Have you ridden the Bryant Street Pedestrian/Bike Bridge over I-5? The Going Street Bike Boulevard?  We will.

We meet and ride from River Maiden to Expo Center but we will NOT ride MAX.  However, you'll learn the easy way to get there when you do want to ride it and we can look at the ticket machine if you're unfamiliar with it.

We ride back streets to Fremont where we can eat HOLE foods at Pip's.

Back home via the Klickitat Mall into Irving Park and past the Emerson House, ride over some street murals, and back home.

Print a cue from the map link if you want one.  My printer is sulking.

Notes:

PUMP YOUR TIRES if you haven't ridden in a few days.  Bring a spare tube that fits your wheels.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain.

Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended. Please make sure to print a ride cue sheet, if you need one. Make sure your bike is in good working order.

Riders should be able to maintain the stated pace of the group they choose. Please communicate with the leader if you decide to go off route or not return to the start. We want to be awesome representatives for cycling and spread a love for our great sport locally by obeying traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner. Ride safely and have fun!
