TODAY is the SHORTEST DAY OF THE YEAR and LES'S BIRTHDAY.  What should we do?  EAT donuts!  Pip's serve tiny, tasty donuts.  Freshly made.  Yum.

Pip's offers Birthday Girls and Boys a FREE DOZEN DONUTS.
Let's celebrate the Birthday Boy Les and the lengthening of days!

Start:  1pm!  We meet and ride from Pearson Air Museum (park on the street) and then head south over the I-5 bridge.  If you don't normally ride in Portland, you'll probably enjoy Going Street.  Here's a video of it and other greenways.

Print a cue from the map link (choose PRINT PDF, cue sheet only, size 16 font for a cue that's 1-page and easy to read) if you want one.  My printer is sulking.

Notes:

PUMP YOUR TIRES if you haven't ridden in a few days.  Bring a spare tube that fits your wheels.

Sunset is 4:30.  Front and rear lights are always a good idea, especially if you ride to the ride and intend to ride home also.

Bring a lock and birthday wishes for Les.  Donuts are on Pip's, but bring coffee cash.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain.

Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended. Please make sure to print a ride cue sheet, if you need one. Make sure your bike is in good working order.

Riders should be able to maintain the stated pace of the group they choose. Please communicate with the leader if you decide to go off route or not return to the start. We want to be awesome representatives for cycling and spread a love for our great sport locally by obeying traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner. Ride safely and have fun!
