Description:
Our annual fundraiser event, Ride Around Clark County, is July 25th. We donate proceeds to our friends at Bike Clark County and the Clark County Food Bank, two local non-profits helping people lead healthier lives. Let's get in some hill work because as you know, there are a couple of hills on RACC... And even though RACC no longer includes Bernie, we've added it back to our training ride today. Bernie is back! Can you say "Ouchy?" Our pace is reasonable, but there ARE hills...
We ride 14 miles and 3 'smaller' hills before Bernie.
But then we ride 4 miles mostly downhill to AMARO'S HAPPY HOUR* - wonderful adult milkshakes, good food and total reward for our efforts! *This is my idea of "training."
Expectations:
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing.
Riders are expected to have read the club's Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with club Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions or concerns to the ride leader or our club Road Captain.
Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), Road IDs, cell phones, tool kit, mirrors, and pump are recommended. Check your bike before you come to make sure it's in good working order.
If you want a cue sheet, please print it from the link above. You can see our route online at the Ride With GPS link above. Please communicate with your leader if you decide to go off route.
Remember - we want to be awesome representatives of the cycling community in Clark County and spread a love and respect for our great sport by obeying all traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner. Ride safely and have fun!
