Capt. Billy's Birthday Bash

Come on out and help celebrate Capt. Billy's Birthday with a 70 km ride in and around Vancouver.  He's reached that magic "new middle age" number now, but he's not slowing down, (as evidenced by the 70 km (aka 43 mi.), moderate pace, moderate hills ride he has chosen to lead).  The ride starts and finishes at Starbucks, 14300 NE 20th Ave.  Print out and bring along the Map and Cue sheet in order to stay on route. Ride Leader will sweep; no one intentionally left behind.  After the ride, plan to hang out at Starbucks, socialize, and enjoy a coffee (or other favorite beverage), as well as some celebration snacks.

Explanatory Note: Traditionally, VBC Birthday rides are 1 mile per each year of age.  However, upon reaching 65 years, the Birthday person may select his ride distance in units of either statue miles or kilometers.
Start Time: June 2, 2012 @ 9:00 am
Ride Leader: Bill Moyers
Pace: 14 to 16 MPH - Moderate pace
Style: Re-Group

Route Information

#0 - West Side, East Side
In and around Vancouver, 43 miles, (70 km) total distance.  See west and east sides of the county, as you ride two bike paths and lots of pretty country roads. Pedal moderate hills/rollers in the beginning. The route flattens in the last 20 miles. A shortcut option in the first half cuts some miles.
