Road Scholars

"Inside every car is a person trying to get out."

And we're trying to help that person!

We love to ride bikes.

A few years ago we joined the Vancouver Bicycle Club in Vancouver, Washington, where we live and met many, many other great people who also love to ride bikes.

Eventually we served on the club board for a few years and between us we've been road captain, vice-president, and editor. We led rides and began mapping them for others and ourselves. Eventually we decided to offer our map-making services to club ride leaders more officially, "retiring" from the board and becoming the "Road Scholars"— thanks to our friend Tim Cannell for the name. Well, one thing leads to another and here is our website.

Our first goal is to give easy access to maps for VBC Ride Leaders, either by finding one here or requesting that we make a new map. Years ago we had a binder of club maps. This is the 21st Century version of that binder—online, of course—which we hope makes it easily available for all.

If you are not with the club, but just looking for maps in the area, we hope our site is helpful to you, too.

If you want us to make a new route map for a Vancouver Bicycle Club ride contact us. We want to help.

Yes, we really do wear helmets, but hey, this is art.
