Details:

Come on a *sneak peek ride* of the new RACC routes before the REAL RACC this summer!  Like our Gran Fondo rides, we'll all start and finish at the same place.

We thought it would be fun to ride an unsupported version of RACC in honor of our historical ride.  Not only do we get to enjoy the greater Vancouver roads in Spring but we’ll get a chance to ride a fully supported and celebration filled RACC again in August (with post-ride BBQ).  It’s the best of both worlds and a fun way to compare your riding from early-season to prime-season.

Important Details:

  • Utilize street parking, the National Park Services will need their parking lot for business purposes and will tow unauthorized vehicles.

  • The ride is unsupported, please bring plenty of fuel, water and a little $$

    • The 67-mile route will stop at Lacamas Lake (15 miles - restroom only), Hockinson Market (29 miles), Daybreak Park (42.5 miles - restroom only), and Felida Store (58 miles) along the way for breaks and refueling if needed.  Note: support our small shops en route; if you want their restroom, buy something.

34 & 54 Mile Note:  Sally is leading both the 34-mile and 54-mile routes (which is the 34-mile route, plus the 20-mile route).  It's two loops starting from the same location.  You may ride the 34 with her and then choose to end the ride at Pearson or you may join her for second a loop ending with 54 miles. (The first 34 miles will be a "fast" 16! Lots of great roads we're familiar with. The final 20 miles will be casual/more relaxed. Lots of multi-use trails and stop lights/stop signs.)

Notes:

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain. Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended. Please make sure to print a ride cue sheet, if you need one. Make sure your bike is in good working order. Riders should be able to maintain the stated pace of the group they choose. Please communicate with the leader if you decide to go off route or not return to the start. We want to be awesome representatives for cycling and spread a love for our great sport locally by obeying traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner. Ride safely and have fun!
